Dr. Bodavula graduated from medical school in 2006, and attended his Pediatric residency training in South India, at Manipal Academy of Higher Education. After moving to the United States in 2011, Dr. Bodavula completed a second Pediatric residency at the Children's Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. His clinical interests include newborn care, asthma management, and pediatric infectious diseases.
Since becoming a pediatrician, Dr. Bodavula has had the pleasure of working in different areas of pediatric care, including serving as an inpatient hospitalist at West Texas Medical Center, where he had the wonderful opportunity to teach both medical students and residents from Texas Tech University. Working in both the inpatient and outpatient settings with diverse patients has taught him the importance of compassion and trust when it comes to pediatric care. Dr. Bodavula and the dedicated team at Garland Pediatric Practice strive to give your child a welcoming environment that makes them feel as comfortable as possible, while providing them the highest quality medical care.
